I bought this car used in October of 1993 at Capitol Toyota in San Jose. It was a very trouble free car once I worked out a few minor difficulties with the dealer i.e. the car had 62k miles on it but hadn't had the 60K service performed when I purchased it. I left the car relatively stock, just put ABS wheel covers on the stock 14 inch steel wheels and Fog lights on the front spoiler. This was that rare MR2 with no "mandatory options" It was a hard top, with no power windows or door locks, no ground effects, and no rear spoiler. It would have been the perfect Autocross car.

I did put an aftermarket stereo in: Pioneer Premier Head unit AM/FM/Cassette with CD changer controller, JBL Electronic crossover, JBL amplifier 35 Watts x 2, Kenwood Amplifier 40 Watts x2, Pioneer 4" coaxial speakers in the factory dash locations, 2 6 1/2 inch SAS Bazookas, one behind each seat. I had the car for 4 happy, fun-filled years, then sold it to my sister and traded up to a 1991 MKII Turbo.
